You can tell if packaging is environmentally friendly by checking for reputable third-party certifications, such as the FSC or Fairtrade, on its labelling. Without these, companies can make misleading claims to their sustainability, using vague words like “eco-friendly”, “green” or “natural”, without actual proof that the packaging is environmentally friendly.
Currently, only 17.6% of local authorities in the UK collect soft plastics from the kerb side. If your local authority isn’t one which collects doesn’t, you will have to take recyclable pouches to larger store drop offs instead.
Yes, you can easily recycle polyethylene bags, but be sure to take them to specific collection points, such as the ones at large supermarkets. Alternatively, you can find resources online designed to help you locate your nearest recycling collection point. Generally, they cannot be recycled in kerb side bins.

Yes, recyclable packaging can hold liquids. Common instances include packaging such as PET plastic bottles, aluminium drinks cans, glass jars and poly-coated paperboard. Be mindful of paper-based containers for liquids as these tend to be made from composite materials which makes them difficult to recycle.
Yes, our retort pouches are fully recyclable and are Independently certified.
