Teamwork in Action: July's Highlights

July has been a busy and exciting month for Team Tyler, packed with not one, but two fantastic team-building sessions! Over the last 30 days, we’ve had the chance to come together, collaborate, and share lots of laughs – one event was a large-scale team-building day, and the other was a fun mini-session during our quarterly team meeting. This month’s blog reflects on both activities and gives you a behind-the-scenes look at all the fun!

On Monday, 30th June, we hosted one of our biggest team-building events of the year, proudly organised by the Pink Team, the reigning winners from the last team building challenge! The session featured six unique challenges, with each team earning crystals based on their performance (3, 2, or 1 crystal per task).

The first half of the session included three engaging activities:

• Ball Maze Challenge: We had to guide balls from a pot, through tubes held by the team, and into a maze on a table – the goal was to navigate them safely to their “home.”
• Riddle Puzzle: We solved six riddles to reveal images, which came together to form a 3D cube with different visuals on each side.
• NASA Survival Task: We ranked 15 items in order of importance to help us survive on the moon during a fictional NASA rover mission.

After a quick tea break, we returned for the final three challenges:

• Bucket Lift: Using only one hand and without touching the bucket directly, we had to construct a device to lift a bucket of water from the floor to the table.
• Design Replication: Teams recreated a given image using connecting pieces, testing our spatial awareness and teamwork.
• Polaroid Challenge: We attempted to recreate photos taken by the organisers, matching the setting as closely as possible – including a team selfie!

To wrap it all up, we had a final bonus challenge: build the tallest free-standing tower topped with an egg!

The energy was high, teamwork was strong, and the competition was friendly. After all the challenges, the winners were announced… Congratulations to Team 3 – Ilona, Holly, Josh, Richard, and Rachael!

A huge thank you to the Pink Team for organising such a fun and memorable morning. We all had a great time and strengthened our team spirit. We’re already looking forward to the next one!

After our quarterly team meeting, we squeezed in a quick and hilarious team-building game: “Fill Your Pants” – a fast-paced game requiring speed and sharp thinking!

Split into Red and Blue teams, we gathered in the extension. Each round, a card was flipped revealing an item to find. With a burst of energy, we dashed into the main office to hunt it down, stuffed it in a pair of oversized pants, and moved on to the next challenge.

After lots of laughs and a good bit of running around, Team Red claimed victory!

We ended the day with delicious handmade pizzas in the garden, lovingly prepared by Levi, Magda, and Holli. On the menu: Margherita, BBQ Chicken, and Pepperoni – the perfect end to a brilliant day of team bonding.
