Team Time

We love when we get the chance to bond as a team here at Tyler, a chance to laugh, step away from our desks, and enjoy some time together outside the usual work routine. The past few weeks we have been able to do quite a few team activities, with our quarterly team meeting, and also celebrating a couple of special birthday milestones recently. Read below to find out what how we have been connecting as a team!

This month we celebrated Danii and Lucy’s big birthday milestones, and what better way than with a Tyler favourite: a pizza party! Levi, Holli and Magda worked their usual magic, firing up the pizza ovens and keeping everyone fed. The weather was kind to us too, so we made the most of the outdoor space by the office to sit, relax and enjoy lunch together.

On the menu were three flavours; Tomato Mozzarella Basil, Spicy Hot Honey Pepperoni, and Chicken BBQ, all going down as well as ever. We finished things off with a choice of chocolate or Victoria sponge cake. A lovely way to mark two special birthdays.

Later in the month we held our quarterly team meeting, a chance for everyone to get together in the almost-finished Tyler office, look back on the past three months, and talk about what’s coming up next.

After our meetings, we usually round things off with a small team building session, since it’s a good opportunity to catch up and have some fun outside our normal working space while everyone’s in the office. This month’s activity was plate painting, a relaxing session that let our creative sides loose. We sat around two tables, got stuck into our designs, and chatted away as we worked on our masterpieces. You can see a few of the plates below, they came out brilliantly!

Once we’d finished putting together our answer to the Louvre’s art collection, we tucked into a picky-bits lunch, another good chance to catch up, hear about everyone’s summer plans, and swap stories from recent holidays. Later that evening, a few of the team headed out for a team meal too, more time to catch up and enjoy each other’s company away from the office.

We’re grateful to have events like these at Tyler. That team spirit and friendly atmosphere make all the difference, and we’re always glad of an excuse to step away from our desks together. Stay tuned for what’s next!
