A Busy Spring of Trade Shows – and an Award-Winning Moment
A few months ago, we shared a news update about our busy start to 2026, travelling across four countries and attending five trade shows before the end of March. But the momentum didn’t stop there. Since then, we’ve travelled to Germany twice for the final leg of an incredibly busy trade show schedule.
One event in particular stood out. At Interzoo 2026, we were honoured to receive an award at the inaugural European Pet Sustainability Coalition (PSC) Awards, a milestone we’re incredibly proud of and the perfect place to begin.
Sustainable Packaging Innovation Winner
We are delighted to announce that Tyler Packaging won the Sustainable Packaging Innovation Award at the first-ever European Pet Sustainability Coalition Awards during Interzoo 2026.
The award recognises companies within the pet industry that demonstrate outstanding commitment to social and environmental responsibility across all areas of their business.
For us, this recognition means a great deal. It reflects the hard work, innovation, and dedication of every member of the Tyler Packaging team in driving sustainable packaging solutions and ensuring we continue to play our part in creating a more responsible future.
Winning this award reinforces the values we live every day at Tyler and the goals we continue to work towards together. We would like to thank the PSC for this recognition and congratulate all the other businesses recognised at the awards.
For those not so familiar with the PSC, they are a nonprofit that advances business in the pet industry through collaboration, education, and innovation. Founded in 2013 by eight companies, PSC now serves more than 200 member companies across the pet industry, helping them to progress on their sustainability practices, set and strive for ambitious goals, and report on their achievements. Additionally, PSC leads retailers, distributors, manufacturers, brands, and suppliers in pursuing collaborative solutions to some of the largest industry-wide issues, such as sustainable packaging and protein sourcing. We have been a PSC accredited business for over 4 years now! To learn more about the PSC, visit their website at www.petsustainability.org.
FIBO – Cologne, Germany
In April, Mark, Lucy, and Josh travelled to Cologne for FIBO, one of the world’s leading trade shows for health, fitness, and wellness.
The event gave us a fantastic opportunity to showcase our Sports & Nutrition packaging range for proteins, supplements, and nutritional products. Based in Hall 10, one of the busiest areas of the exhibition, we were perfectly positioned to meet visitors, make connections, and enjoy the energetic atmosphere (and booming music!) throughout the show.
The event kicked off on Thursday morning with a busy and productive start. We had great conversations, built valuable new relationships, and discussed our sustainable packaging solutions with businesses from across the industry.
After a long first day, we explored Cologne, enjoyed some traditional schnitzel and bratwurst, and even managed to fit in a bit of football before returning for day two.
The second day brought more opportunities to network, strengthen relationships, and explore the show floor while connecting with other businesses about packaging solutions. It wrapped up a successful and enjoyable two-day trip to Germany.
Interzoo – Nuremberg, Germany
Not long after FIBO, we were back in Germany, this time in Nuremberg for Interzoo, the bi-annual international trade show for the pet industry.
As our longest trade show of the year, Interzoo spanned five days, from Monday 11th May to Friday 15th May. Arriving on Sunday gave us time to prepare before an early start on Monday for the Interzoo Sustainability Conference, attended by Adam and James.
The conference offered valuable insights into emerging industry trends, sustainable innovation, and collaborative solutions shaping the future of the pet sector. Alongside networking opportunities, we also hosted a pop-up stand and connected with businesses equally passionate about sustainability.
After an insightful first day, it was time for the main event – Interzoo itself.
From Tuesday onwards, our stand was ready to welcome visitors, customers, and industry partners. Across four busy days, we had the opportunity to build new relationships while also reconnecting with customers and familiar faces across the sector.
Trade shows like Interzoo are invaluable for strengthening relationships, discussing developments, and understanding how we can continue supporting our customers. We were incredibly encouraged by the positive feedback we received, a true reflection of the hard work and dedication of the wider Tyler team back at HQ.
A particular highlight was spending time with our friends at the PSC and fellow accredited businesses during the awards evening, where we had the chance to celebrate our Sustainable Packaging Innovation Award together.
Overall, Interzoo 2026 was another fantastic experience, and we’re already looking forward to returning in two years’ time.
Another busy and successful two months of trade shows completed, and now the focus turns to following up with the fantastic connections we made and continuing the conversations started along the way.
